I am a Visual Designer with a background in both print and digital media. I am passionate about visual communication, accessibility, and the user experience. I a proponent of visual heirarchy, brand consistency, a nice sans-serif typeface, and the Oxford comma.

I graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Graphic Design. My focus was primarily print and photography, but I have been working for the last decade in digital touchscreen and web design. I enjoy creating content that is visually appealing, while ensuring the needs for clear communication are met.
Skills
While most adept at providing visual specs to hand off to development, I have been increasing my skills to include prototyping and designer-led code changes, working in agile development cycles to produce content efficiently and accurately.
Design Goals
I believe visual communcation improves the user experience - I believe designers can make someone's day better. Increasing joy, diminishing frustration, sparking an idea, offering a solution – Design creates a connection between the user and a brand.
